Three bridges, two tunnels and a couple of ferries link Alameda to the outside world. This is the Fruitvale Ave. bridge structure, from the vantage of Marina and Cambridge.
Don’t mean to be a nit picker but technically there are four bridges (five if you count the Fruitvale railroad bridge separately) that link Alameda to the “outside world”…One could argue the point that the Bay-Farm Bridge connects Alameda to more of same, but eventually it gets you to the “outside world”…
(i’m never wrong; once i thought i was, but i was mistaken)

Good point, didn’t really think about the Bay Farm bridge… plus there’s the Bay Farm bike bridge …
